Two Guns 🌵 Arizona
The graffiti and weird abandonment vibes didn't stop with Twin Arrows, it extended fully into Two Guns. Learn My Flaws & Love Me Anyway Listen. Two Guns has a pretty extensive history. I realize this is a photography website, but I’m going to deviate a bit to talk about Two Guns history. I found it really interesting. I’ll give you a shortened version. If you’re here for photos and not my rambling, here’s a TL;DR: People murdered, businesses were built, they burned down, a gh

Lone Arrow 🌵 Arizona
Twin Arrows is now Lone Arrow, Arizona. At some point it's twin fell and was removed. Thanks I-40. Lone Arrow This Route 66 trading post declined into legitimate ghost-towndom with the creation of Interstate-40 which bypassed US 66. Sad, if you ask me. But it makes a glorious ghost town. If you know me, you know that I thrive in this sort of photographic atmosphere. I have to admit though, this place heebied my jeebies a bit. When you walk around Twin Arrows, many of these do

Montezuma 🌵 Missed You Last Time
Leaving Jerome (sadly) I headed to Montezuma Well. The path to the well Because the snakes don't The well Like most everything in Arizona, the scenery is beautiful. Montezuma Castle was next, 10 minutes away. ' if you've seen one cave dwelling, you've seen them all But, I mean, maybe you should see one. I reiterate. Beautiful. I left Montezuma happy I came and ready to head to the next location on my list. Twin Arrows, Arizona. And this is where things started to get weird.

Jerome 🌵 You Kitschy Weirdo
Jerome, Arizona. Where to begin? Last Arizona trip was limited in the Jerome area, so I set this trip up to give me some time there. Does this explain why I love Jerome? Let's talk about the scenery. Jerome is absolutely beautiful. Not in any small part due to it's elevation. As always, I love to wander where the foot traffic is lighter. And this guy Shhh. Jerome is a literal treasure trove of photographic opportunity. Lunch was my long awaited visit to the Asylum Restaurant

Cottonwood 🌵 At Sundown
I love Cottonwood, Arizona. Especially at night. Much like Tucumcari, it lights up when the sun goes down. It's a tourist trap. Think driving around, around, and around, looking for the very scarce parking place. It probably took me upwards of 30 minutes to find a place to park that wasn't miles away from my destination. Worth it. Ed Mendoza Finally. Parking. A beautiful night for a walk through Historic Old Town. The food at Pizzeria Bocce is amazing! Lights and neon (like,

I Stood on the Corner 🌵 I'd Do it Again
My second day of this AZ/NM trip took me to the Corner in Winslow, Arizona. A random, gloriously dilapidated gas station. Sticky Dwelling We've all heard the song, Take It Easy by The Eagles, that originated when co-writer Jackson Browne was stranded here on his way to Sedona. A girl, my Lord In a flatbed Ford. Stickers. The original social media. Every surface has opinions here. None of them subtle. This town has one job and it’s doing it very well. ➜ More from this trip - a

Tucumcari 🌵 I Didn't Turn Around
A previous trip to Arizona didn’t unfold the way it should have. This time, I went back to experience it on my own terms. To take it back. 6 days · 2,878 Miles Up early on April 9th. This was easy, I didn't sleep well. Car rental, got a Honda Ridgeline, and back home to load the truck. I took much less this time. Less hassle, less decision paralysis, less... mess. I hit the road at 9 a.m. CST. Aside from fuel, bathroom, and snack stops, the only Kansas photo location was Blo

Coming Alive
A lot has shifted lately. Graduation. Passing exams. Losing people. Finding new ones. Somewhere in there, I realized something uncomfortable: I wasn’t done. Not even close. I went to Arizona in January. Arizona was gorgeous. It also wasn’t enough. Not enough time. Not enough space. Not enough freedom. So, I fixed that. I threw together an itinerary, complete with stops missed before and choices I wish I'd made. I threw my shit into a bag, packed my camera, created a Spotify
