Ordinary Haunting | Week 03

Week Three of Ordinary Haunting, days 15-21, consist of August 4th, 2026 through August 10th, 2026.

This week I began questioning (well, questioning... more) what I'm doing. Subjects aren't as readily available as they were in Weeks One and Two. Not because anything significant has changed out there, but the things I find interesting have evolved.

I mean, there's only so many times you can see the same things before they lose their uniqueness.

It becomes less about finding new subjects and more about altering how you see the same subjects.

What stood out to be me in Week Three?

Photographers have a heightened awareness of detail. I've always been observant (even if I'm quiet, I still notice everything), but until I fell in love with photography, I didn't realize everything I had been overlooking.

There is an image everywhere.

And nobody can take it but you.
